About Me

Jasjit Kaur has rich experience and a passionate dedication to food, and her area of interest has been imparting knowledge to her culinary students for more than 20 years. Jasjit Kaur is a producer and host for her show "Kitchenpunjabi Tadka" on Rogers Community channel, where she delivered seven episodes interviewing restaurants & coming It her home chef's kitchen, creating the same dish she tried at the restaurant, giving it a fusion twist still maintaining the Authenticity of the word. Jasjit has her radio show with CKJS at 810 am in Winnipeg in Punjabi and Hindi. She worked as a Communication Specialist for Versatile Pictures Mississauga, Ontario, managing social media posts and web content and supervising the film crew. She has been a chef and Culinary Instructor for Niagara College in continuing education, No suggestions, Sobeys, Zahrs for years.

 

She owns Kitchenpunjabi Inc. Jasjit has been actively involved with Saffron Hub and Artist & Artisans network development creator and host of cooking videos and participating in Toronto Expo and Whitby expo. Jasjit's Bio and her life journey is featured in the book "weaving dreams" as women entrepreneur, inspiring other women with her story. 

- Developed recipes for Planet Organic Market stores in Canada. An active participant in the testing and development of Planet Organic recipe books.

- Participated in United Way Edmonton campaigns by offering time and effort to present Nutritional values, culinary classes, and baked desserts to support various causes at Millwood's school division in Edmonton. All proceeds to United Way Campaigns.

- Guest speaker at Lifetime Learning Centre’s annual conferences, St. Catharine’s, ON, for four years. 

- Developed a certificate program in Indian Regional Cooking, "tour of India," for Niagara College and NAIT Edmonton Continuing Education

- Live Chat on the benefits of Organic Food with Ralph Benmergui on JAZZ 91.3 FM

- Recorded cooking segment – Cooking with David Wolfman on APTN Channel fusion of Indian meals with Native dishes.

- Appearances on the City TV Breakfast Television in Edmonton and Toronto,Daytime Rogers TV Mississauga and Toronto, and South Asian Focus TV to promote Organic foods

- Nominated for the 2007 Women of Distinction Award in the Culture, Heritage and Arts category by YWCA Edmonton, AB

-Regularly featured & freelanced in Toronto Star newspaper on 2 pages story with recipes working in the test kitchen of Toronto Star, Edmonton Journal Newspaper, waterloo record, Cambridge Times, and face of many other reputable newspapers.

-Jasjit developed recipes for @snacker yogi using lotus seeds (makhanas), and @bloomorganicbazaar using their products created daals and Besan ladoos. 

-Jasjit has god gifted voice and a Major in Music, she is waiting to work with some artist in the near future

-Jasjit is part of the documentary "Lori" and acted in a role, released soon.

Jasjit is currently a Project Manager, leading the Brampton Artistic Expo for November 28, 2021. 

She is also MC for the Brampton Food Expo in November 2021.
